Portland’s second-newest brewery, Baerlic Brewing, is hosting the 1st Annual Adult Ice Cream Social at its tasting room on Saturday, August 16th, starting at 4 p.m.
Portlanders love their craft beer as well as craft ice cream, and with the multitude of artisan small batch ice cream shops and breweries popping up it makes sense to combine them, especially in this hot summer weather. Baerlic describes it somewhat more intimately–”Imagine if ice cream and beer—the two greatest elements on Earth—were to fall deeply in love and eternally embrace.” I don’t know…that sounds a little erotic, but a Baerlic Noble Stout float made with Scoop Handmade Ice Cream sounds good to me. Scoop Ice Cream is made right here in Portland in small(ish) batches, like Baerlics beer. $6 each for Stout Floats, 21+ only.
